Delivery Driver

South West Suds Commercial Laundry provides linen and laundry solutions for tourism and hospitality businesses in Victoria’s Great South West.

We have a Casual position available for a Delivery Driver servicing the areas of Warrnambool, Port Fairy, and Hamilton.  Commencing as a casual role 20 – 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to develop into a full/part -time position.

As a Delivery Driver for our commercial laundry service, you will be responsible for:

  • Timely Deliveries: Safely and punctually delivering clean linens, to our valued clients according to predetermined routes and schedules.
  • Loading and Unloading: Loading delivery vehicles with the appropriate items for each stop and unloading used items for return to the laundry facility.
  • Customer Interaction: Providing friendly and professional interactions with clients during deliveries, addressing any inquiries, and maintaining a positive image of the company.
  • Documentation: Accurately recording delivery details, including quantities, delivery times, and client signatures, to ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Safety Compliance: Following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe and secure work environment for both yourself and others on the road.
  • Communication: Collaborating with the operations team to relay any changes or challenges in the delivery process, such as delays, changes in delivery instructions, or client feedback.
  • Quality Control: Participating in quality control procedures by ensuring that delivered items meet company standards and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition, reporting any issues to the maintenance team, and keeping vehicles clean and organized.

To be successful at this role, you will need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Available to work Monday – Friday with some Saturday work as required. Starting at 9.00 am and aiming to finish around 3pm – 4pm
  • Valid manual driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with service areas, and the ability to navigate.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, as well as load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in recording and documentation.
